Social Enterprise Policy & Practice: Scotland’s Annual Conference

CEIS Events has extensive experience in organising conferences and trade shows.  First launched in 2006, CEIS has organised Social Enterprise Policy & Practice – Scotland’s Annual Conference bringing together 220+ social enterprise leaders, practitioners, supporters, policy makers and funders to gain insight, experience, share best practice and network.

CEIS Events, led by CEO, Gerry Higgins has great knowledge, expertise and strong national and international links, which is translated each year into an inspirational, sell out programme.

CEIS Events manages all aspect of the event from back-end support – AV, logistics, catering, budget management, delegate registration, invoicing and sponsorship through to main plenary and break-out session programme build, speaker and sponsor management.

Social Finance: Social Investment: Social Banking – What makes them Social?: 19th November 2015

CEIS Events were approached by SCRT who were running their first ever conference in Edinburgh but didn’t have the staff or inhouse expertise to support it. CEIS Events worked with SCRT to provide key event management services, meeting their needs and working to their budget.

The event, which attracted 100 delegates to Edinburgh, included an opening address by Mr John Swinney, Deputy First Minister, Scottish Government and international speakers from Germany, Australia and the Netherlands.

94% of delegates found the event management to be excellent or good and 100% of delegates advising the event met or exceeded their expectations.

“On the day of the conference, the CEIS staff played a crucial role in ensuring the event went well. They were professional, courteous and totally reliable. Their expertise and experience ensured the event went exceptionally smoothly. Although due to budget constraints we didn’t use the CEIS staff as much as we had originally envisaged, they didn’t allow it to get in the way of providing a service within a budget we could afford and I would even say went above and beyond what was agreed and expected to make the conference a success”. – Pauline Hinchion, SCRT


Social Enterprise Summit: 10-11th June 2015, Inverness

CEIS, in partnership with Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) and Social Enterprise Scotland held the Social Enterprise Summit in Inverness to mark HIE’s 50 years milestone of supporting local businesses and communities in the Highlands and Islands.

CEIS Events provided full event support including event logistics, budget management, programme
development, sales and marketing, supplier management, event bookings, payments and onsite management.

89% of delegates found the event management to be excellent or very good and 92% said the event met or exceeded their expectations.
