On Friday 28th June, CEIS Ayrshire opened its doors in Irvine to showcase its services and the support available to local residents and employers looking to recruit.
In the last year (April 2018 – March 2019) CEIS Ayrshire in partnership with North Ayrshire Council has supported over 900 people into employment and delivered training to over 800 people. With unemployment figures for over 16’s in North Ayrshire estimated at 3,600* between January 2018 – December 2018, this is a significant figure with a positive impact on the local community and economy.
Ian Mitchell, CEO, CEIS Group said “We are delighted with the success of our open day and the uptake of our services. We achieved our goal which was to raise the awareness of our services to the local community and to employers.
We are proud of our track record in helping people across North Ayrshire into work and helping them to stay there and to develop themselves. We look forward to strengthening our partnership working and to support people in our communities to secure a job and working alongside employers to do that”.

Guests on the day included Lord Provost Ian Clarkson; Dr. Philippa Whitford MP for Central Ayrshire; Councillor Donald Lees Reid and representatives from partner organisations including North Ayrshire Council, their Business Development Team, Supported Employment Team, Salus, Coastwatch Scotland, Criminal Justice Team and Business Gateway.
