Tendering for contracts

The programme of procurement workshops has been designed to provide support for enterprising Third Sector organisations who want to respond to public Sector tender opportunities.

The workshops have been structured to provide learning at 2 levels.

Introductory workshop

The Introductory workshop is aimed at Third Sector organisations with little or no knowledge of Public Sector tendering. It is a 1 day workshop covering topics including:

  • Where to find opportunities
  • Terminology and how the process works
  • The buyer’s perspective
  • Top Tips for a good tender
  • Evaluation and scoring

Advanced workshop

The advanced workshop is aimed at Third Sector organisations who have previous experience in tendering for public Sector contracts but who want to improve their success rate. Facilitated by Just Enterprise procurement professionals, this is a 2 day workshop covering:

  • The procurement landscape – who buys what
  • Commissioning and procurement
  • Promoting your organisation
  • Legal considerations
  • Collaborative working
  • Community benefit clauses
  • Policies and standards
  • Writing professional tenders
  • Evaluation and award
  • Obtaining feedback
