Canadian Inward Visit: 5-9th September 2016, Scotland
The Brief
Design a study tour programme for 16 Canadian government officials, practitioners and academics providing insight to the Social Enterprise Sector within Scotland including a focus on government support; and an understanding of the emerging procurement framework promoting use of community benefit clauses and the Community Empowerment Act.

The Results
A full productive program was developed to meet the group’s objectives including:
- Urban visits to leading social enterprises in Glasgow and government delivery partners
- Attendance at Policy event with key members of Scottish Government
- Attendance at Social Enterprise Policy and Practice: Scotland’s Annual Conference
- An overnight trip to the Highlands & Islands exploring rural and remote social enterprises engaging community benefit clauses.
